Oils and fats in significant concentrations in industrial wastewater is most often the main problem in getting the expected results after applying treatment processes.
This can cause, among other things:
- serious screen blocks
- sedimentation problems by producing a surface layer in decanters
- the aeration process in activated sludge tank can be slow down by reducing transfer coefficient between 55-75%
- increasing the filamentous bacteria that prevent sludge separation on final decanter
For a quick disposal of this fats it is recommanded to use the disolved air grease separator equipped with surface sludge floating scraping, FSG type.
